Abstract

Obesity is a state of excessive body fat accumulation in fat tissue. The impact that can occur in obese people is an increase in uric acid levels which will then lead to increased blood pressure or hypertension. This study aims to describe the uric acid level with blood pressure in obese people in Nagari Talang, Solok city. The method used in this study is the Stick Method, Examination of uric acid levels using a stick can be done using a UASure Blood Uric Meter. From the results of the study concluded that uric acid levels in men 3-7 mg / dl is 40% and that> 7 mg / dl is 10%. Uric acid levels in women 2.4-5.7 mg / dl were 25% and those> 5.7 mg / dl were 25%. While blood pressure in men 90-120 mmHg is 5% and that> 120 is as much as 45%. Blood pressure in obese women 90-120 mmHg is 5% and those> 120 are 45%. And in obese patients with high uric acid levels and high blood pressure there are as many as 35%. Keywords :uric acid, blood pressure, obesity
