Abstract

Hepatitis is an inflammatory process in the tissue that gives symptoms of a weak body, nausea, eyes and body becoming yellow. HBsAg (Hepatitis B Surface Antigen) is a surface protein of the Hepatitis B virus HBsAg which is on the outside of the hepatitis B virus which can trigger a reaction from a person's immune system. This study was conducted to determine the results of HBsAg examination in patients with Hepatitis B in the RSUD Mukomuko in 2017-2018. This research was conducted in February 2018 using the Rapid Test method with 124 samples of patients who performed Hepatitis B examination in Mukomuko Hospital from a total of 124 people, 71 people (57.2%) Hepatitis B positive patients and 53 people (42.7 %) patients declared Negative Hepatitis B. Hepatitis sufferers based on age who did the examination at Mukomuko Hospital were higher levels of sufferers at the age of 31-60 years A total of 45 people (63.38%) patients and based on female sex as many as 25 people (35 , 21%) patients and men 46 people (64.79%) patients. The results of this study were assessed by frequency testing, and it can be concluded that the highest percentage of patients with Hepatitis B Virus were men. Keywords: Hepatitis B, HBsAg.
