3). DO'I SANDRA 1814901597 Abstract hypertension is the highest disease with 31,760 people. The incidence of hypertension is seen from 23 health centers in the city of Padang. The aim of writing the final scientific paper (KIAN) is to be able to apply Garlic Decoction to Reduce Blood Pressure in the Family of Mr. F Specifically Ny.D in Jorong Ladang Hutan Baso Subdistrict in 2019. This method (KIAN) is a case study method using tools such as: Onion smoothing, millstone, Glass, Sieve. Material: Garlic 1 clove, 200 cc hot water. the final scientific work (more) has been carried out on November 28 to December 29 2018. Based on the studies that have been conducted to the family of F. the sick and the family's inability to modify the home environment. Implementation that has been done to the family of Mr. F especially Mrs. D in lowering blood pressure is a decoction of garlic every morning for 3 times the dose of 2.4 g / individual / day. The results showed a significant reduction in systolic and diastolic blood pressure at the first administration of 180/100 mmHg, the second giving was 160/100 mmHg and the third was 140/100 mmHg. able to reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Blood pressure reduction occurs 5-14 hours after administration. Conclusion: The family has understood the concept of hypertension, After giving garlic steeping blood pressure, Ny. D has shown a gradual decline. It is recommended that health services, especially Baso District Health Center, can optimize educational interventions about hypertension and use herbal medicines such as steeping garlic to reduce blood pressure.
