Abstract

FARID MUHAMMAD DZAKI (4) Leukemia is a disease caused by the proliferation of abnormal and malignant leukocyte cells and is often accompanied by excessive amounts of leukocytes from systemic blood-making cells and usually fatal. Leukemia factors are 2: Endogen (race, chromosomal abnormality, hereditary), and exogenous (x-rays, radioactive, chemicals, hormones, and infections). Based on the data of Medical Record RSUD Dr. Achmad Mochtar Bukittinggi year 2018, prevelensi number of leukemia incidence the last 6 months in inpatient room Ambun Suri 3rd floor got as many as 2 people. Scientific Writing is aimed to know the description of appropriate nursing care for clients with leukemia. The preparation of this paper using descriptive method. The data collecting technique used was interview, observation, physical examination and documentation study. After 3 days review from 06-08 June 2018 found 3 nursing diagnoses on client. A with leukemia is an ineffective breath pattern associated with a lack of O2 supply to the brain tissue, less nutrients than necessity associated with anorexia, self-care deficit associated with weakness. Leukemia is a type of disturbance in the fatal hemapoetic system, therefore it is expected that the institution of the hospital to conduct assessment, planning, action, and evaluation appropriately and correctly.
