Abstract

Malaria is an infectious disease caused by parasites (protozoa) of the genus of plasmodium, which can be transmitted through the bite of Anopheles mosquito. The term malaria is derived from two Italian words ie mal (bad) and area (air) or bad air because it used to exist in areas of swamps that emit bad smells. This disease also has other names, such as roma fever, turtle fever and paludisme. Based on the above description of data authors to formulate the problem, How is the prevalence of malaria patients based on data Year 2018 in Health Center Surantiah ? This type of research is a restrospective study to see the prevalence of malaria patients based on data of 2017 in Health Center Surantiah . This type of research is a retrospective study to see the preavanti of malaria patients based on data of Year 2017 in Health Center Surantiah. The results showed that malaria clinic examination in 2015 revealed that of 72 clinical malaria suspects and the examined were 29 people (40%) positive for malaria and 43 people (60%) negative malaria.Conclusion obtained from research in 2015, from 72 malaria clinical patients, there were 29 malaria positive patients with percentage of 40% and negative malaria patients 43 people with percentage of 60%. Types of parasites found in 2017 are plasmodium vivax and plasmodium falcifarum. The highest correlation of characteristic obtained by malaria is based on age is teenagers and based on the high sex is the men. Keywords: Malaria Disease, Research Methods, Research Results
