Abstract

Malariaisaninfectiousdiseasecausedbyaprotozoanofthegenus PlasmodiumwhichistransmittedthroughthebiteofafemaleAnophelesh mosquito.MalariainhumanscanbecausedbyPlasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax,Plasmodium ovale,Plasmodium malariae,and Plasmodium knowlesi.Malariaisadiseasecausedbyprotozoaofthe genusPlasmodium withapictureofthediseaseintheform ofperiodic fever,anemia,enlargedspleenandvarioussymptomsoffecesinseveral organssuchasthebrainandkidneys.Thepurposeofthisstudywasto describetheresultsofmalariaexaminationsatPublicHealthCenter Tapanfortheperiod2017-2020andtodescribetheresultsofmalaria examinationsbasedongender,age,examination,typeofplasmodium. Thisresearch wasconducted attheTapan PublicHealth Centerin February 2021.This type of research is descriptive,namely an epidemiologicalstudythatdescribesthedescription,distributionresults, anddeterminantsofdiseaseandexposurestatusaccordingtosex,typeof examination,ageandtypeofspeciesinindividualsfromapopulation.The researchmethodusedisretrospectively(quantitativedata).Thedata collection technique was carried out using an analyticalsurvey, observationdatasheetsdescribingmalariaresultsattheTapanPublic HealthCenter.TheresultsofresearchdataatPublicHealthCenterTapan from 50samplesofsuspectedmalariapatientsatPublicHealthCenter Tapantherewerenocasesofmalariaornoplasmodium thatcaused malariawasfound.Thisisprobablycausedbyeachregionhavingpeak periodsordifferentepidemiologicalpatterns.
