Abstract

Kidney failure disease is a public health problem in the world. The etiology of this disease varies, including genetics, autoimmune, infections, environment, and drugs. Chronic kidney failure is a progressive and slow development of kidney failure, due to the kidneys losing the ability to maintain the volume and composition of body fluids with a GFR value of 10%-25% of the normal value. Goal: Knowing the Relationship Between Hemoglobin Levels And Ureum In People with Chronic Kidney Failure At Dr. M Zein Painan Hospital. Method: This research is analytical research with cross sectional design. The population of this study was all patients with kidney failure who had been diagnosed by clinically and conducted examination of hemoglobin and ureum levels at the hospital's laboratory Dr. M Zein Painan. The number of samples taken as many as 30 people with the technique of total sampling (total sample overall). Examination of hemoglobin with spectrophotometry method using hematology analyzer and ureum with enzymatic method photometry using a chemistry analyzer tool. Results: There was no significant association between hemoglobin levels and ureum levels in people with chronic kidney failure with a p-value of 0.126 and a person correlation coefficient (r) result of 0.286 (positive) which means it has moderate relationship strength
