Abstract

The COVID-19 is a pandemic disease, globally found throughout the world including Indonesia, which was first discovered in the city of Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. This disease is caused by a Betacoronavirus, namely Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2). Laboratory tests are very important to do only count the number of lymphocytes and the value of Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR). Laboratory results decreased total lymphocyte count accompanied by an increase in NLR value. The purpose of this study was to determine the total lymphocyte count and NLR value, to determine the relationship between lymphocyte count and NLR value at the time of confirmation of COVID-19. This research is an analytic observational with a cross-sectional study design on 100 blood samples of confirmed COVID-19 patients who have just entered at dr. Achmad Darwis, Fifty Cities District. The total number of lymphocytes obtained from the calculation of the number of leukocytes with the number of lymphocytes, NLR was obtained from the calculation of neutrophils with lymphocytes using a hematology analyzer. From the results of the study, the average total lymphocyte count was 2318.51/mm', the average NLR value was 2.58 and the p-value was 0.001 which means that there is a significant relationship between the total lymphocyte count and the NLR value. It is hoped that further research will need to increase the number of samples used. with a more varied level of symptoms so as to fully reflect the laboratory results again.
