Abstract

Quality assurance in the laboratory is often found not in accordance with established procedures. One of them is the use of assayed control serum in the form of powder, where after the control serum is dissolved, homogeneity and stability tests are not carried out, as well as storage of control serum that exceeds the limit. The purpose of this study was to determine the shelf life of control serum which is still stable, determine the accuracy and precision of the control value data analysis and evaluate the results of control examinations based on the Westgard rule for SGOT and SGPT examination. This research is analytic observational. From the research results obtained homogeneity test with ss SGOT 0.22 and ss SGPT is 0.27 . Stability test of SGOT and SGPT 15 days shelf life is 0.2 and 0.1 , 30 days shelf life 0.3 and 0.15 , and 45 days shelf life 0.55 and 0.4 . Evaluation of the westgard rule found that the SGOT and SGPT values for the 15th and 30th days of storage were accepted, and the 45th day of storage was rejected.
