Abstract
The background and purpose of soil-transmitted helminth infection is a global problem, especially in developing countries. Worm infection turned out to show that school-age children are the group that is often affected by worm infections because they are often in contact with the soil. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between body weight and height with examination of soil-transmitted helminth worm eggs in children at SD N 022 Balai Tuesday. The type of research used is analytic research, with 34 samples in this study were elementary school children of SD N 022 Balai Selasa. Samples were taken using a random sampling technique that is taken randomly. Because the population is more than 100 people, to determine the sample size, 20% of the population is used in this study. These results show that most of the students (8%) of SD N 022 Balai Selasa who were positive for STH infection were found to have normal weight and height. The results of statistical tests there is no relationship between STH infection with weight and height with p value 0.060 (p> 0.05), and it can be concluded that there is no relationship between STH examination with weight and height of students at SD N 022 Balai Tuesday.
