Filariasis is an infectious disease (elephantiasis disease) caused by the larvae of filarial worms (Wuchereria brancrofti, Brugia malayi and Brugia timori) which are transmitted by various types of mosquitoes, including Culex, Aedes, Anopheles and other types of mosquitoes. This disease can cause disability, social stigma, psychosocial barriers and decreased work productivity of sufferers, families and communities, causing huge economic losses. The purpose of this study was to compare the frequency of filariasis infection before and after being given filariasis drugs. This type of research is descriptive analytic and cross sectional design using a sample of 30 people. In this study, filariasis patients were examined before and after taking filariasis drugs. then the percentage results obtained are 53% in patients before taking the drug, and the percentage result is 37% in patients after taking filariasis drugs. Based on the statistical results that have been carried out with the Chi Square test, the results obtained are significant, namely 0.01 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a difference between patients before and after taking the drug
