Abstract

10. FITRIA FRANSISKA ABSTRACT Patient safety is a service system in hospitals that provides safer patient care, including measuring risk and carrying out incidents to reduce risk. In fact, there are still nurses who do not perform an initial fall risk assessment and every shift change only checks the actions taken regardless of the patient's condition and does not put a fall risk sign in patients who are at high risk of falling. The implementation of good patient fall prevention can improve the quality of services in the hospital. The nursing problem that was obtained was that the implementation of patient safety goals (risk of falling) was not optimal in the internal room of Prof.DR Hospital. MA Hanafiah, SM Batusangkar. In overcoming the problem, an intervention is given to review the material and carry out an assessment of the patient's risk of falling. The goal is to be able to apply the Implementation of Patient Safety Goals at the Risk of Falling in the Internal Inpatient Room. The method in this final scientific paper is in the form of a case study conducted during nursing management practice in the Internal Room of Prof DR MA Hanfiah SM Batusangkar Hospital. The results obtained after reviewing the material are that nurses in the internal room are able to apply the knowledge provided and carry out the fall patient risk assessment that has been done. So it can be concluded that the provision of material review and implementation of patient fall risk assessment has an effect on improving patient safety. It is recommended for hospitals, especially the Internal Room to improve patient safety in improving patient beds so that they do not experience the risk of falling and increase the risk assessment of patients falling in the Internal Room of Prof DR MA Hanafiah SM Batusangkar Hospital.
