Abstract

The appearance of excess protein in the urine during pregnancy can be a health problem. In addition, due to the relationship between high blood pressure and high level of protein in the urine, especially at the end of pregnancy. This study aims to determine the results urine protein examination in pegnant women. This reseach is descriptive that is done to explain the data obtained from then observation, then clearly described. The methode is used on this research is acetic acid heating. Population of all pregnant women who were diagnosed by clinicians and samples examined as much as 50 person. From the research that has been done then got the result of protein examination in pregnant women at Puskesmas Kuranji, Padang City, obtained 43 pregnant women sample of negative urine with percentage 86 %, 2 pregnant women sample of positive urine one (+) with percentage 4 % and 5 others pregnant women sample get positive urine two (++) with percentage 10 %. In this study obtained the result of positive urine protein one (+) as much as 2 person positive urine protein two (++) as much as 5 person.
