Abstract

Abstract Rifampicin can cause interference with kidney function or is nephrotoxic. Nephrotoxic has toxic or destructive properties to cells in the kidney. The presence of protein in the urine is called proteinuria. One way to detect protein in the urine is by urinalysis. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a relationship between urine protein levels in pulmonary TB patients before two months and before six months after KDT OAT administration. The object of research is urine samples of patients with pulmonary TB who are taking OAT regularly. The results of the study were statistically processed using the chisquare test with the results of the chi-square test P = 0.119 > 0.05; it can be concluded that there is no relationship between urine protein levels in pulmonary TB patients before two months and before six months after administration of Fixed Dose Combination AntiTuberculosis Drugs (OAT-KDT). Keywords : tuberculosis, Urine protein, 20% sulfosalicylic acid method Abstract Rifampicin can cause interference with kidney function or is nephrotoxic.
