Abstract

ABSTRACT The cause of Tuberculosis is infection by Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection that affects the lungs (pulmonary TB) and other organs (extrapulmonary TB). This baketeri attacks the lungs, kidneys, joint bones, lymph glands or brain membranes. TB affects more adult men than adult women and children. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the results of acid-resistant bacilli (BTA) examination in outpatients and follow-up of pulmonary TB patients at Dr. Achmad Mochtar Bukittinggi Hospital. This research was conducted in April-June 2023 at Dr. Achmad Mochtar Bukittinggi Hospital.This research is descriptive. TB Test using TCM GeneXpert and BTA Test. The results of the study suffered from pulmonary tuberculosis as many as 11 patients, 6 male patients (54.6%) female patients as many as 5 people (45.4%) TCM examination results of the GeneXpert method, 5 MTB Low Detection patients, 3 MTB Detection Medium patients, 3 MTB Detection High patients. Zhiel Nelseen method BTA examination, obtained negative results as many as 10 patients, positive results (1+) as many as 1 patient The incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis attacks more men than women. In productive age, they are more susceptible to suffering from TB than children and the elderly. Keyword: Tuberculosis, TCM GeneXpert, BTA
