Abstract

ABSTRACK Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease that occurs due to various causes, characterized by increased glucose levels in the blood. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus as it is known is insulin resistance. Insulin in sufficient quantities cannot work optimally, causing high blood sugar levels in the body. If it exceeds the kidney's threshold value, glucose will come out with the urine causing glucose content in the urine. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant relationship between blood glucose levels at 2 hours PP and urine glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The type of this research is analytical descriptive. Where blood glucose levels and urine glucose levels were measured using the enzymatic colorimetric glutamite oxy-dase para ammoni phenazone (GOD PAP) method. From research conducted in January – June 2023 at Dr Achmad Mochtar Hospital, Bukittinggi, on 30 samples of type 2 diabetes mellitus sufferers, the results of this study showed that the average blood glucose level was 280.9 mg/dl and the average blood glucose level was 280.9 mg/dl. urine was found to be 47.8 mg/dl. The statistical test results show that based on a significant value (p) of 0.000 compared to a p value <0.05, Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between 2-hour PP blood glucose levels and urine glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients.
