Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is still a problem for health in the world. Based on statistics from the World Health Organization (WHO), Indonesia is ranked fifth, which was previously ranked third in the world. TB drug isoniazid is reported to have more side effects of hepatotoxicity.. OAT-induced hepatotoxicity does not occur in every patient but can cause extensive and permanent liver damage and can lead to death if not detected in the early stages. Objective: To assess the difference in SGPT activity of TB patients on OAT treatment category 1 intensive (initial) and continuation phases. Research Methods: The type of research used in this study is Experimental type of Pretest-posttest design. Data Analysis: Data analysis in this study used statistical tests with the Wilcoxon test. Conclusion: SGPT activity in the intensive (initial) phase of treatment obtained 23 (76.67%) normal examination results and 7 (23.33%) abnormal results. SGPT activity in the early phase of continued treatment experienced a significant increase where the results obtained were 12 (40%) normal examinations and 18 (60%) abnormal results. From the results of statistical tests that have been carried out, the results obtained P = 0.00 which means the P-value <0.05. Based on this, it can be decided that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, so the conclusion is that there are differences in SGPT activity in TB patients who are taking OAT treatment category 1 intensive phase (initial) and advanced phase. Key Word : Tuberculosis, SGPT, Fase Pengobatan
