Abstract

Teak plants that grow in Indonesia come from india. Toung teak leaves contain a high concentration of anthocyanin pigments. Anthocyanins are pigments that provide a red color and have the potential to be a natural dye and a safer alternative to synthetic dyes.the purpose of this study was to determine whether young teak leaves can be used as an alternative dye to Eosin 2%. This experimental study involved five treatments. Soaking young teak leaves of 255, 50%, 75%, and 100% with five repetitions. This study was conducted at the Biomedical Laboratory of Perintis Indonesia University. The result showed that soaking young teak leaves effectively stained intestinal nematode eggs at a concentration of 100%, with a mean rank of 18,10. The c.onclusion is that soaking toung teak leaves ( Tectona grandis linn. f) can be used as an alternative stain in examining intestinal nematode worm eggs.
