Abstract

AYU Ardina Nim: 08103084105188 (19) ABSTRAC Hallucination is one positive symptoms in schizophrenia patients. Hallucinations patient independence can be affected by many things one of which is the factor of family support. Interviews with families of patients in the clinic family earned less provide suggestions and advice about the disease. Based on reports of psychiatric clinic RSAM Bukittinggi in 2013 of 835 patients who visited the clinic obtained in 204 patients suffering from hallucinations. This study is to determine the level of family support patient independence hallucinations in psychiatric clinic RSAM Bukittinggi. His study design with cross correlation sectional. The sample is the entire family that has a family member who suffered from hallucinations in psychiatric clinic RSAM Bukittinggi totaling 50 people taken Accidental Sampling. The research was conducted in July and August 2013. Analysis of the data in the study using univariate and bivariate analysis. Results of this study showed that less than half (64%) no family support for the patient's hallucinations, and less than half of respondents (58%) patients experienced hallucinations are not independent. Results of bivariate analyzes the relationship between the level of family support patient autonomy hallucinations which statistical tests obtained p = 0.019 (p ≤ 0.05) means that Ha = accepted that there is a relationship with the level of family support patient independence hallucinations. Suggested to the leadership RSAM Bukittinggi through the field of nursing education programs regularly conduct room of the clinic as well as to enable nurses to better perform its role in the Home Visit to the family properly. For further research is expected to look at other factors such as intelligence, culture, patterns of patient care, patient education level, age of the patient and the patient's job.
