Abstract

Devi Pradilla (30) ABSTRACT According RISKESDAS in 2007, there were 5,4 % children with malnutrition in indonesia and prevalensi rate of malnutrition in 2008 in west sumatera amount of 1,7 %. The first survey wich doing by researchers on march in Puskesmas Tanjung Paku for 10 mothers, the half of mother’s status are do not work and have bad behavior to fulfilment of children nutrition. The research is purpose to know relationship between occupation and mother behavior with nutritional status of children in Kelurahan Kampung Jawa working area Tanjung Paku Healt Center Solok City in 2013. The research is descriptive analytic with cross sectional method. The Population is mothers who have children under five and sample for 88 people with technique of stratified random sampling. Data collection is done by use questionnaire and processed with computerized system. The analyze of data are univariat and bivariat with statistical tests of chi-square. The result found 64,8 % of mother status is does not work, 62,5 % of mother has good behavior in fulfilment of nutrition, 71,6 % of children has nutritional status is good. From the result found there is relationship which significant between mother’s job (ρ = 0,031), mother’s behavior in fulfilment of nutrition (0,019) with nutrional status of children if compared with the value of α = 0,05 so ρ < 0,05 According the research, The final conclusion is that there is relationship between job and mother’s behavior in fulfilment of nutrition with nutrional status of children. For get the good nutritional status to children, so needed the good behavior by mother in fulfilment of children nutrition.
