Abstract

Haemoglobin (Hb) is a protein substance found in red blood cells, which gives a red color to the blood. Haemoglobin consists of iron which is the carrier of oxygen. The aim of haemoglobin examination is to monitor the level of hemoglobin in red blood cells, to help diagnose anemia, and to define the fluid deficit caused by elevated hemoglobin levels. Normal haemoglobin level in males 14 g / dl -16 g / dl and 12 g / dl - 14 g / dl in females. The aim of this research is to see the result of haemoglobin rate of pulmonary tuberculosis patients at + Puskesmas Pakan Rabaa Lareh Sago Halaban Sub-district of Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The research population is suspected patient with pulmonary tuberculosis examined in Pakan Rabaa Puskesmas laboratory for 35 people. The study was conducted in March to June 2018. Data collection was processed manually analyzed univariat presented in the form of frequency distribution table. The results of this study showed the results obtained majority of patients who examined haemoglobinnya below normal 2 people (20%) of the number of patients suspect BTA (+) as many as 10 people, normal haemoglobin 8 people (80%) while for suspected patients who were examined with smear results (-) encountered haemoglobin examination results under normal 18 people (72%), normal 7 people (28%).
