Abstract
Trombocite (platelet) are megacoriocyte cytoplasmic fragments that are not nucleated and formed in the bone marrow. Examination of platelet counts aims to assess platelet concentrations with a normal amount between 150 – 400 x 10³ / μl. Factors that can affect the examination of platelet count, ie, delay of examination more than 1 hour, causing a decrease in platelet count. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of result of examination of platelet count on blood sample which directly examined with delayed for 3 hours using Hematology Analyzer tool. The type of this research is descriptive analytic with crossectional approach, that is data retrieval at a certain time which not start and followed by taking other data. The study will be conducted in April 2018 in the Laboratory of RSUD Pariaman. The population in this study were all outpatients in RSUD Pariaman Laboratory as many as 20 samples from the population. The result of examination of platelet count on fresh blood sample with delayed for 3 hours has Sig value = 0, 009 (p <0, 05) which means in statistic there is difference of result of examination of platelet count in fresh blood sample with delayed for 3 hours using Hematology tool Analyzer. The average number of platelet counts on fresh blood samples was 292. 95 x 10³ / μl. While for the average result of examination platelet count delayed for 3 hours amounted to 286, 55 x 10³ / μl. Keywords: Trombocite, Delay Examination, Hematology Analyzer
