Abstract

Tuberculosis is a disease caused by bacilli and transmitted through breathing and develops in the lungs, gout is also called gout disease or gout which is a disease of arthritis caused by high uric acid in tuberculosis patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of uric acid levels in tuberculosis patients at the Nanggalo Padang Health Center. This research method uses Point Of Care Test (POCT), which is an easy touch examination of gout, where sampling of 30 tuberculosis patients was found to mean 9.38 mg / dl of uric acid levels. This occurs in tuberculosis patients because tuberculosis patients consume anti-tuberculosis drugs which will affect the metabolism of uric acid, thus causing an increase in uric acid levels. This research is Analytical Descriptive, the results obtained directly are then defined in detail and clearly based on the data obtained. This research was conducted from March to July 2018 at the Nanggalo Padang Health Center. The population in this study were all patients with Tuberculosis who came to the Nanggalo Padang Health Center, so the research was carried out using the uric acid examination method, namely the urid acid sure blood urid acid test method, the study was carried out from April to May 2018 in 30 patients. The results of the percentage of uric acid from 30 Tuberculosis patients resulted in 0-1 weeks (taking medication) as many as 7 patients with normal uric acid levels (4.2 -6.0 mg / dl) or (24%) while from 2 - 12 sunday (taking medicine) in getting the results of uric acid levels greater than 7.0 mg / dl (7.6 - 8.4 mg / dl) or 76% then get results that patients with high uric acid levels as many as 23 patients with a 76% percentage increase in uric acid levels is called hyperuricemia.
