Abstract
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and is contagious. Tuberculosis is a chronic bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis characterized by granuloma formation in infected tissue. Mycobacterium tuberculosis is straight or slightly curved, not berspora and not berkapsul. These bacteria are 0.3 to 0.6 μm wide and 1-4 μm long. A study was conducted to determine the frevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis based on microscopic examination of BTA at Air Haji Health Center 2018. This research is retrospective using recapitulation data of tuberculosis examination results at Puskesmas 2018. The results were processed by statistic using frequency test. From the statistic test obtained in 2018, from 124 people with pulmonary tuberculosis disease, microscopic pulmonary tuberculosis as much as 61 with percentage, and negative microscopic pulmonary TB as much as 63 with percentage. From the examination of pulmonary tuberculosis disease in Puskesmas Air Haji Pesisir Selatan Regency in 2018 it is known that from 124 people the suspect got men as many as 54 positive suffered from tuberculosis tuberculosis and women as much as 70 positive TB lungs. As for sputum samples at the laboratory of Puskesmas Air Haji Regency of South Pesisir its good quality. Not contaminated with saliva or saliva. And the reagents used are also good quality. So it can be used for the examination or smearing of BTA. Keywords: Tuberculosis, BTA
