Abstract
Hemoglobin is a protein found in red blood cells that functions as a carrier of oxygen from the lungs into the blood circulation to be carried to the tissues and carries carbon monoxide to be excreted through the lungs. Blood transfusion service is a health service effort that utilizes human blood as a basic material for humanitarian purposes. A study was conducted to determine the difference in hemoglobin levels in donor blood which was examined directly and stored on the 2nd and 7th days at a temperature of 2-6̊C. The population in this study was 30 samples using random techniques. Then the data were 27 men (90%) and 3 women (10%). Then the results of the statistically test were obtained with P Value > 0.05 using the T test. The conclusion is that there is no difference in hemoglobin levels which were directly examined and stored on the 2nd and 7th days at a temperature of 2-6̊C
