Abstract
Lactic acid bacteria (BAL) are gastrointestinal microbiota that have many benefits for human health. Breast milk (breast milk) is the best food to meet the nutrients needed by babies. This is because breast milk contains BAL which plays an important role for the body. Lactic acid bacteria (BAL) can be categorized as probiotics. However, before a bacterium can be declared a probiotic, it must meet several conditions, one of which is an antibiotic resistance test. The purpose of the study was to test antibiotic resistance in lactic acid bacterial isolate from breast milk as a probiotic candidate. The research method carried out was experimental with non probability sampling techniques. The data were analyzed using a descriptive test. The results of the study showed that some Lactic Acid Bacteria (BAL) isolates were resistant to the antibiotics amoxicillin, gentamacis, chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin. The conclusion of this study is that Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) isolates isolated from breast milk with codes N1, N2, N8, and N11 showed resistance to the antibiotics Amoxicillin, Gentamicin, Chloramphenicol, and Ciprofloxacin. Keywords: Probiotics, lactic acid bacteria, breast milk, antibiotics.
