Abstract

Chronic kidney failure is a clinical syndrome caused by a progressive and irreversible decline in kidney function which is characterized by damage to kidney function accompanied by an increase in creatinine levels This occurs when the glomerular filtration rate (LFG) works less than optimally. Chronic kidney disease can result in several complications, one of which is high blood pressure, This occurs because the kidneys cannot remove a certain amount of salt and fluid from the body so that it increases blood volume, this can trigger high blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between blood pressure and creatinine in patients with chronic kidney failure. The type of research used was observational analysis with a cross sectional design, conducted at Aulia hospital in Pekanbaru in February-April 2025. The population in this study was kidney failure patients with a sample of 40 chronic kidney failure patients. Blood pressure checks were carried out using the Manual method using a Spigmomanometer, while the examination of serum creatinine levels was carried out by the Jaffe Reaction method using a Sanymed instrumen AS-480 device. The results of the study were obtained based on the gender of the most chronic kidney failure patients were men (57.5%) with the highest age range of 45-65 years (65%), the average blood pressure test result was 149.38 mmHg and the average creatinine test was 7,022 mg/dl, to find out the relationship between blood pressure and creatinine levels, the p value was obtained = 0.01 < 0.05 which means that there is a relationship between blood pressure and creatinine levels in the moderate category. Keywords: Chronic kidney failure sufferers, blood pressure values, creatinine levels
