Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is metablicsyndrome due to deficiency or decreased effectiveness of insulin that effects the metabolism of protein, carbohydrates and fat. Syndrome is a big influence on the body due to the complications of diabetic ketoasidosisas a result of increased metabolism of fat. In this case ketone object in question is a ketone object found in urine or ketonuria. Ketonuria examination has been done in diabetic patients in laboratory RST TK III DR. Reksodiwiryo Padang with a lot of sample 30 people. Result obtained are negative ketones obtained as many as 7 people (23,3%), and positive as many as 23 people (76,6%). The statistical test result obtained p value 0,04 with alpha 0,05 means there is a relationship between blood glucose levels with ketonuria. Pearson correlation value obtained for 0,373 or correlated weak, which has meaning if an increase in blood glucose is not always followed by an increase in ketonuria levels.
