Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin, resulting in an increase in blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia). To avoid the increase in blood sugar levels and the occurrence of complications, diabetes mellitus patients need to control. By performing HbA1C examination, ideally the examination should be done at least three months after the first visit. This study aims to determine the description of HbA1C levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus at RSI. Siti Rahmah Padang. This research was conducted 1 April 2018, With data takers including age, sex and HbA1C levels 30 patients were randomized. The method used in this research is descriptive. So the data obtained will be processed by using the frequency distribution table and include results in the percentage. The results of HbA1C levels have been performed on type II diabetes mellitus patients at RSI. Siti Rahmah in April 2018, obtained the most HbA1C levels is not normal (> 6.5%) as many as 28 patients (93.33%). Most age ranges in age 55 - 65 years old as many as 18 patients (60%).
