Abstract
Microsporum gypseum is a fungus imperfecti (fungus imperfect) or deuteromycotina because breeding only asexually, yellowish colonies to brownish-mushrooms.This fungus often infects the skin and hair. Epidermophyton floccosum is one of the common causes of dermatophytosis in healthy individuals. It infects the skin (tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis) and nails (onikomikosis). This infection is confined to the non-living epidermiscornified layer because the fungus lacks the ability to penetrate tissue Disseminated infection because one of the dermatophytes is highly unlikely due to the limitations of keratin filter infection. Research has been conducted to find out the types of fungus that can infect the farmers' nails in Pudak Sijunjung Region. The research was conducted in the biomedical laboratory of Health Analyst Padang in February-June2018. This research used descriptive method and identification was done macroscopically and microscopically. Sampling was done randomly to farmers in Pudak Sijunjung area as many as 10 people. From this research found no fungus Epidermophyton floccosum and Mikrosporum gypseum but found Trycophyton rubrum fungus. Keywords: Microsporum gypseum, Epidermophyton floccosum, Rice farmer.
