Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type II or diabetes is a disease caused by carbohydrate metabolic disorders. Examination of glucose levels is now indicated by enzymatic means, no longer with the principle of reduction to avoid the measurement of other substances that will give false high results. Enzymatic methods can be done automatically, such as with GOD - PAP and the Strip method. The purpose of this study was to compare the results of fresh fasting blood glucose levels and delayed by 2 hours in type II Diabetes Mellitus patients with the GOD-PAP method. The type of research used was experimental research with Cross Sectional design. The study was conducted at Pauh Padang Health Center for all patients who examined fresh blood glucose and were delayed for 2 hours at Pauh Padang Health Center. The average blood glucose level examined directly / freshly is 287.9 gr / dl, and delay for 2 hours is 192.23 gr / dl. There is a significant difference between glucose levels that are directly checked / fresh and delayed for 2 hours. Keywords: Diabetes Melitus Type II, Blood Glucose, GOD-PAP Method
